Ready, Set, Invent!
Calling all inventors, tinkers, engineers, mad scientists, mechanics, grease monkeys, and Steampunks!
Iron Opal presents the first annual “Inventors Showcase” found only at WhimsyCon! Impress the judges and crowd with your one of a kind creation! Each invention will be judged based on set criteria. Spectators are also encouraged to join by purchasing tickets and voting for their favorite inventions.
Proceeds will be donated to Cap For Kids!
Awards will be handed out for Best In Show, Maddest Scientist, Mechanical Marvel, and People’s Choice.

Inventions may be entered into the Showcase starting on Saturday, April 1 at 9am in the Iron Opal Parlor (across from Registration). Inventions will be on display for spectator voting throughout the day.
Then, join us on at 2pm for a chance to demonstrate/present your invention to the judges. Your invention will be judged on set criteria (see below).
Awards will be announced and given on Saturday, April 1 7:30pm, in the Iron Opal Parlor.
Tickets can be purchased for $1 each at the Iron Opal Parlor starting at 10am. Explore the many inventions, pick a favorite, and place your ticket into the corresponding container. The invention with the most tickets will win an award and may sway the final judging. Tickets sales will close at 5pm and voting will end on 6pm.
